On April 29, the DEKOR-X consortium partners came together at the 9th quarterly meeting at consortium leader Valeo Schalter und Sensoren GmbH in Kronach.
The project partners presented the progress and results of their work over the past quarter. The focus of the work was on vehicle-to-vehicle communication and the optimization of the fusion algorithms.
The partners also used the on-site meeting for joint test drives and interoperability workshops. Interoperability was successfully tested the day before the meeting. Tests on the transmission of CPM messages also took place on the day of the quarterly meeting, providing important insights for further optimization.
The social program this time included a visit to the Kronach leuchtet light art festival. Here, project team members of Coburg University of Applied Sciences and the consortium leader Valeo Schalter und Sensoren GmbH developed a concept for a light installation and implemented it with the support of the car dealership Max Schultz GmbH & Co. KG and Frank Wunderatsch.
The stop on the light path visually represented the decentralized communication process taking place between the vehicles: Two vehicles were connected to each other via LED hoops and a sensor triggered the light communication between the two vehicles as soon as passers-by approached. A QR code on the information board gave visitors an insight into the R&D project.
The partners in the consortium were able to see the impressive outcome at their visiit to the festival.
